Senior senate hosts first ever senior pep rally

On Friday, August 29, Buena Vista held its first-ever senior pep rally at the football stadium during Bison Block to celebrate the senior class of 2026. Organized by school staff and the Senior Senate, the event was meant to honor Buena Vista’s very first freshman class as they enter their final year.

The pep rally included a variety of activities for students. With music blasting, cheers echoing, and spirits running high, it was a joyous occasion to celebrate the seniors’ last year. From games of tug-of-war to dodgeball, students had a blast. At the same time, the event served as a chance to reflect on the past four years and look toward the future.

Senior Senate member Brianna Ixta Perez shared her excitement about working with her fellow members: “It honestly feels good, it’s an honor—honestly a blessing too. I’m so excited to work with all these people; they’re all amazing. It just feels good being in charge of something to make people’s year memorable.” In addition, the Senate also plans to host Senior Sunrise and Senior Sunset—two memorable ways to enjoy their final ride with the herd.
